A plant even for the non-plant people 🪴

• Low Maintenance - In my personal experience, my Monstera has been the LEAST dramatic plant I own (if you saw my plant collection you would realize how big of a statement that is 😂).

In my 3 years of owning it, I have only had to repot it once. As far as watering goes, I’ve neglected this thing for months at a time and it still somehow continues to thrive. When I DO remember to water it, it’s generally about once every 3-4 weeks (that being said, if there are ever any half drank water bottles or cups of water lying around my house, I usually donate those to my Monstera 🥰).

They’re the happiest in bright, indirect light which I’ve always described as “bright and sunny, but you can’t visually see the sun from the window”…I placed mine in a south-facing window of my home and it does really well there. 💗

• Grows Quickly - When I first purchased this plant on a whim at Home Depot, it had only 2 leaves, neither of which had any fenestrations. Since then, it has grown to the size you see here with nearly all fenestrated HUGE leaves. 🌿

I also think this is one of the most fun plants to watch grow. There’s nothing more exciting than seeing a new leaf pop out and watching it slowly unravel over the next week or two when you finally discover how big the leaf really is.

For the amount of work involved in the care of this plant, (again, not much) I think it’s output feels so rewarding and of course, looks beautiful.

• Is A Natural Air Purifier - I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but once I became a successful indoor plant mom I could SWEAR that the number of colds/illnesses in our home decreased. Call me crazy, but I will stand by that. 😂

Like most plants, Monsteras take carbon dioxide in the air and convert it into oxygen. So they truly do improve your indoor air quality, which for me also tends to boost my mood.
