Why Istanbul should be on your travel bucket list

Istanbul is a famous tourist destination for good reason. It’s so lively and colorful, offers the most beautiful sites. And has the best food. These are my favorite parts of my trip here:

1. Visiting Balat. Balat is a town in Istanbul that’s known for being super colorful. Everywhere you go each building is painted a different vibrant color. You can’t help but feel super happy! You can get the cutest photos here and they also have the cutest stores. The locals are very friendly too :)

2. Sightseeing is a MUST in Istanbul. Basically your whole trip should be dedicated to sightseeing, which is completely free (not including taxi or vehicle costs). Istanbul is home to such beautiful historical architecture!

3. Make sure you don’t eat anywhere mainstream. Try out the local restaurants! We were just walking, without reviewing places, and just tried it out for the fun of it. Every single place we went to was delicious and the hospitality was so nice. We were offered free dessert everywhere we went!
