Makeup from China?!

Not always a fan of MIC products, but I got really tempted to try Florasis, a somewhat premium makeup brand from China. The products are not at a cheap price point - about S$50 for this depending where you get it from.

The brand first caught my attention with their lipstick - engraved in pretty Chinese embroidery, it looked like a must have. I hope to get it one day!

I was disappointed with my pressed powder from Ettusais which I got from Japan, and I needed a pressed powder for on-the-go touch ups and pressed versions are simply neater to use compared to loose powders, that always caused a mess especially on my black vanity top no matter how careful I was.

This was a translucent powder with a very light sheen and when the product description mentioned 不挑肤色 (translate: suits all skin tones) they weren’t kidding. I am not dark skinned but I fear very light coloured powders as I will look washed out and ghastly. This one did not do that. It also contains real silk powder and it’s REALLY lightweight; you can know the difference if you compare it with pressed powders from western brands.

I did a makeup free day, simply going out with a good sunblock and the powder did a fine job of mattifying the look so I looked really natural with the pores covered. The texture was awesome - really finely milled. It lasted all day.

I could really recommend this!
