i was very hesitant buying beau bones because of all the stories ive heard about dog bones. there are many different types of bones you can give your puppy but not all I’ve them are good/safe for your dog. here are a few facts about dog bones and what to look out for.

1. Rawhide bones ~ can pose a choking and blockage risk. In fact, this is a much bigger risk than contamination or digestive irritation. If your dog swallows large pieces of rawhide, the rawhide can get stuck in the esophagus or other parts of the digestive tract.

2. Hardness ~ If the chew is harder than the teeth, there’s a probability of causing tooth injuries.

3. Choking hazard ~ Same as above, but in this case, the chucks get lodged in the trachea or esophagus and don’t make it to the stomach or intestines

4. Bones Splinter

Whether cooked, uncooked, solid, or hollow, bones can and do splinter, and they're still hard enough to break teeth.
