going to college: what i wish i knew!

1. a full time class schedule actually deserves your time

- okay, this might be a little straight forward for some people but for me it wasn’t. i am a part time worker, i have a music career, and i’ve been in two shows (one play and one musical). it’s a lot, i wish i didn’t overcommit. my college courses double as high school credits so it’s important to get it all done without being burnt out

2. get your general classes out of the way first

- generals are fun and help you get a taste of what you might enjoy in the long run! accomplishing a liberal arts associates has given me a well rounded sense of academia and makes me excited for more

3. join a club!

- take advantage of being a student at your school and participate! join a club, use the gym. i’m currently vice president of environmental association at my college and it’s been so nice! you get to know more about what you like and all of the people involved.
