✨Modern Batik OOTD? Emang bisa? 🤔

Today I would like to share with you all, one of my favorite patterns of all time and one of the reasons that I’m proud to be an Indonesian; which is Batik! Batik is a very versatile pattern that you could wear for almost every kind of occasion, from casual outings, going to the office, going to a party or wedding, etc. ✨

One of the common misconceptions that I want to debunk right now is the idea that Batik is traditional and old-school like 🤔 Who says it’s gotta be that way? Here I would like to share with you a few tips on how to style Modern Batik OOTD looks for any kind of occasion!! 💖

1. Style it in a unique way

In my OOTDs, I’ve chosen unique silhouettes uncommonly seen in batik clothing. From a long coat to a turtleneck top with puffy sleeves, to a long flowy vest paired with a long black pleated skirt – this is a quick way to break out the shells from the traditional shirt top and knee-long skirts we usually see in a daily basis.

2. Pick a non-traditional color combination

When wearing Batik, normally the usual color combination is brown, green, black, and yellow. While it is nice, one simple way to modernize it is to pick a non-traditional color combo as shown in my pictures above!

3. The devil is in the detail: always accessorize!

One last tip is to accessorize your looks! This is one certain way to perk up any kind of clothes that you wear, including Batik ❤️
