I tried the FAMOUS ban mian in Geylang?! 🍜🍴

I've read so many good reviews about L32 Handmade Ban Mian from so many bloggers and I finally had the time to visit Geylang for a bowl! It's pretty far from where I stay so I never really had the chanced to travel there for a bowl! 🤪

I am so happy I did! The queue there is kinda hectic and insane. The entire coffeeshop is crowded and filled with people. Please note to get a seat first before you order cos the aunty will ask you for your seat no. and only accept your order when she "VERIFIES" that you got a seat.. It was so HARD for us to get a seat due to the peak lunch time.

We had to share seats with a person, and thereafter order our food and drinks. My partner and I ordered Pork Mee Hoon Kuay - I ordered the dry whereas he got the soup one. It came with a bowl of small soup with a cracked raw egg in it. It looks kinda gross if you ask me! You have to let the raw egg cook in the soup for awhile before eating it. :/

The mee hoon kuay texture is thin but cooked well (not soggy at all) and it also has NO flour taste. It's cooked to perfection! The noodles are also very springy and light, I guess because it is handmade fresh daily. The dry one is sooo GOOD with the black sweet sauce!! I loved it so much! Just the right amount of sauce for the bowl.

The entire bowl was sooo satisfying 🤤🤤

Even my partner enjoyed his soup based one. He says the soup is flavourful and yummy. (Has an ikan bilis taste to it!) 😍

Given that the bowl is ONLY $4.80 and it kept me full for many hours, it's DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!! Do give it a try if you love ban mian/mee hoon kuay!!
