Have you been to Bishop’s Castle?

We’ve been before when our kids were much younger and didn’t explore it much so we decided to go back now that they are older.

It was awesome. Terrifying. But awesome.

It’s incredible that some guy has built and continues to build a castle tucked up in the mountains of Colorado. It’s quite beautiful!

Some of the structures are questionable that we walked on and my anxiety was at an all time high but overall we had a great time and it was a lot of fun exploring. Me and my son didn’t make it to the top like my husband and daughter did. We like to call ourselves “life preservers” and stayed on more solid areas while my husband and daughter are the dare devils of our clan and scaled the stairs like it was nothing.

If you are ever in the area it is definitely worth stopping to check out. It is free but they do take donations. They also have a little gift shop and concession as well if you are wanting a souvenir or snack.
