My camera settings for this surprise proposal 💍

I traveled from Dallas to Angel Fire NM for a surprise proposal this weekend and here are the settings I used for each of my favorite photos!

I like to keep my photos feeling full of movement and micro blurs. I try to keep my shutter a little lower than most people, and compensate for light with the f/stop and ISO.

For the main proposal moment, I kept my settings basically the same the whole time. Once I found a good setting combo, I stuck to it until after she said yes, then I could play around without the pressure of keeping my settings constant for editing.

For the little landscape photo of what the sky and view looked like, I brought my f/stop up to 5 to make sure I got everything focused in the photo and less blur!

I like to keep my f/stop around 2.5-2.8 for the basic blur shots, but if I’m trying to even more movement or blurred background, I’ll lower my shutter & up my f/stop!
