Finally tried out this bubble tea brand that landed in Singapore! Was immediately intrigued since its a brand from China. I can’t say I know much about anything but I KNOW that people in China know their tea! 🧋 I was definitely excited to give this brand a taste! 😙
I ordered an Oolong Tea Latte with 30% sugar, less ice and bubbles. The balance between tea and milk was good! I could definitely taste both the creamy sweetness of the milk and also the earthiness of the oolong. It was a tad too sweet, and probably my problem - if I got bubbles I could have gone with 0% sugar 🤷🏻♀️ oh wells!
The only lacking point was the bubbles.🙂↕️ Some context, I’m actually not a huge fan of bubbles. The only ones I occasionally enjoy are the ones from Chicha or Chun Yang. I may have ordered wrong since they have both ‘PEARLS’ and ‘BUBBLES’. Here, the pearls are ALOT smaller than what I am used to. For 1 sip, I felt like I was getting attacked in the mouth LOLOLOL, I couldn’t actually control how many are going into that 1 sip of milk tea yk 🌚 Overall the chewy-ness and texture was ok, nothing too extraordinary. It was definitely less sweet than the ones at Chicha. Overall, I couldn’t enjoy it to the max, and had to throw the remaining pearls of my drink away. This was maybe a good 30% after I finished all the liquid. 🙂 Oh wells!
But really, it’s all personal preference! I did ask the tea baristas before ordering and they were confident that the pearls taste better than Chicha (ikik, who will say it’s less comparable🙄 but still! It’s the way that they were SO confident) I think based on this, I’d stick to Chicha’s pearls 😅
Overall Rating: A TIER // Would go back! Just not getting the pearls anymore 🙃
Price: $4.10 (medium) + 0.7 (pearl)
