𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚

Italian food is more than just pizza, pasta, and wine! Try a food that the region you are visiting is known for, whether it be bistecca in Florence or prosciutto in Emilia-Romagna. Always ask the waiter for recommendations if you’re not sure!

𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡

Remember to cover your shoulders and wear knee length bottoms if you are planning to visit a church. I still see it happening today! Some will provide disposable coverings and you’ll have to wear the poncho of shame during your visit, or you can buy a scarf from a souvenir stand as well.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐥𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞

Avoid bringing heavy luggage, there are so many stairs in Italy and accommodation will not always have elevators. Roller suitcases can be especially difficult because the streets are uneven cobblestone. I learned the first time I went to Italy, we even brought small roller carryon but even then it was difficult!
