picture this: youโ€™ve got stale bread sitting in the kitchen and you donโ€™t wanna toss it out but you donโ€™t feel particularly excited to eat it ๐Ÿ˜ฉ the easiest way to get around this: MAKE AIRFRYER FRENCH TOASTS โœŒ๐Ÿป

french toasts are typical made over the stove, but the hot butter tends to splatter all over and itโ€™s just a pain to clean up :/ with an airfryer, everything is contained so i just need to wash the metal container and thatโ€™s it!

and the best part is, the ingredients are already things youโ€™d have in your pantry so you donโ€™t even need to run to the grocery store to get them.

hereโ€™s how i make failproof air fryer french toasts in 15 mins or less.

๐Ÿ”ช bread prep ๐Ÿงˆ

my husband likes his french toast without crusts (LOL adult leh but ok) so i usually slice the ends off first. then i apply butter and spread of choice โ€” speculoos or nutella, or peanut butter if you like. more importantly, make sure you butter the outside of the bread as well!

๐Ÿฅš prepare your egg dip ๐Ÿณ

for 4 slices of toasts, i used four eggs. depending on how large your eggs are, you can gauge accordingly. i also add a dash of cinnamon to the egg dip for extra flavour.

๐Ÿซ™dip and fry๐Ÿฅช

the reason why i coated the outside of the bread with butter is because when youโ€™re frying typical french toast on the stove, that extra butter helps make your toast SUUUPER crispy and flavourful. itโ€™s a bit sinful but wth who cares. plus because weโ€™re using an airfryer in this recipe, thereโ€™s no oil to coat the surface, so that extra butter on the bread goes a long way.

i usually fry each side at about 5 minutes at 160ยฐc. itโ€™s also important to open the tray and check intermittently! once your toast gets to golden brown, you can flip it over and continue so both sides are equally done.

this is a super easy recipe, only takes 15 mins, and stores well in the fridge for a couple of days too. to reheat, just toast it slightly and drizzle with maple syrup and a dash of icing sugar โœจ
