MY WATER BROKE @ 34 WEEKS😱😱

I had just turned 34 weeks the day my water broke. I had gotten up around 4 am to go pee I went and laid back down and felt a lil gush of water, at first I’m thinking “my pregnant 🍑 jus peed on myself”so I went back to the bathroom to get the rest of the pee out and it was nothing.

I go lay back down only to feel another gush, then another one when I would flip over, I immediately go to the bathroom again and wipe and it’s a faint pink color. I get on my phone and text my sister(she has 2 kids) and ask how she knew her water broke, then told me I should go to the hospital. I don’t go to the hospital immediately cause I had my 34 week appointment that morning anyways.

My doctor test the fluid and it’s definitely amniotic fluid so she sends me to the hospital to be induced. My plan was to have a natural birth with no epidural(I’m scared of big needles😱) so they start my pitocin and the contractions start coming . Fast forward THREE DAYS my labor is not progressing at all and I’m not dilating past a 4.

Since my labor was not progressing this was causing my baby to be in distress so the doctors said to take me to get an emergency c-section because of this I had to get the epidural so I can be up while my baby was born. I was so scared and shaking the whole time I’ve never had any type of surgery before and this was a MAJOR surgery.

In the end my baby was born and she was perfectly fine and healthy she had a 1 week stay in the NICU and a 3 week stay in the Special Care Unit.
