UNI LIFE #2: Skipping Lectures

hello zestiess I'm back with another part of my uni life <3 this weekend marks the end of week 3 and honestly, I've never studied so much in my life 😭😭

⭐ skipping lectures

I knowww I said I wanted to be studious but it's so hard to go for the lectures when the profs are just reading off their slides 😔😔 I can read off slides too by myself.. majority of my friends skipped these lectures as attendance is not necessary for them,, which made me skip them too. however, skipping lectures also mean that i have to watch the pre-recorded lectures / understand the materials myself, so I am working towards that. it only sucks when the tutorial class is on the day after the lecture, which gives me that half a day to understand the tutorial before the class.

sigh... it's only week 3 and I have already flunked my first "quiz". it was just a readiness assessment for the course which doesn't take up much of the final grade but every point counts (always rmb this!!). this quiz was 15 minutes long with 5 short questions. my friends and I were so flabbergasted when 4 of the questions were on the materials of the same week (which we all skipped the lecture for 😭😭😭) so when the quiz ended we all looked up at each other and cried (jk we were in class but I felt like crying LOL) BUT it's ok I am now praying that everyone also felt the same way and pull the bellcurve down for the whole class to get an A 👍👍

⭐ update on hall life

this week was the 4th time I washed my clothes in hall. it is also the 4th time it rained right after I washed my clothes. TELL ME HOW UNLUCKY I AM 😭😭😭😭 on monday I was debating with myself, thinking if I should put them to wash, but I ended up deciding against it, and on tuesday it rained! of course I was feeling lucky and happy that I didn't wash on mon and I told all my friends about this. but since it only rained in the morning, i decided to wash them later at night. big mistake. both my roomie and I had washed our clothes and are hanging them outside. at 2am, when we were both ready to sleep, IT STARTED RAINING. HEAVILY. OH GOD. we scrambled to get the lights on and bring all our clothes in, then we caught our breath and started laughing about it 😭😭 this is a core memory for me, but I honestly hope it won't rain anymore when I try to dry my clothes PLEASEEE IVE HAD ENOUGH 😭😭😭
