1. Don’t hate on yourself if you have to take a break or if your mile time is not what you wished for! Your heart, legs, mind are NOT used to that much work it’s okay to take breaks and walk.
2. Stretch before hand! This helps during the run as well as after because it will prevent injuries!
3. Drink plenty of water before and after. Eat protein and fuel your body!
4. You don’t need all that running equipment and fancy running shorts (they’re nice to have) but you can become a runner without most of it!
