Watchmaker of watchmakers? JLC event in MBS ✨⏱️

Luxury watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre is holding an event at MBS from 1 June to 8 June!!

If you’d ask me a few years ago about JLC I’d be like, Jurong Lake something?

But in the past few years being exposed to luxury I’ve come to appreciate Luxury goods, watches and jewelry a lot more

TLDR, JLC is kinda like the Hermes of Watch brands with its sophisticated design rooted in history.

JLC is most well known for it’s Reverso watch, to put it simply polo players back in the day had issues making sure their watches remained intact after playing the sport, so in comes the reverse with it’s swivelling case allowing for them to protect the dial while playing the sport. What sets it apart is the craftsmanship and detail that goes into this feat - with updates to have duo faces on each side of the case

The Exhibition Reverso Stories at MBS is focused on ofc the Reverso product - it tells of the history of the reverso watch, the evolution of it’s design as well as a super cool four faced version. I’m no watchmaker or expert but it’s pretty cool to think of the craftsmanship required. The pop up also has a 3m x 3m installation screen created by a Korean digital media artist inspired by the golden ratio - it’s also kinda trippy at looks like a 3D screen kinda. Great photo opp.

After the exhibition, you get a voucher to their pop up 1931 cafe for a free coffee and pastry and overall just pretend you’re enjoying this in Switzerland 🇨🇭
