hellooo ☀️let's quickly dive into some simple healthy weight loss tips that I have tried myself!!
this is part 1 on diet~ follow me for part 2 on exercising 🏃♀️ hehe
♥️ DOs
- DO keep a balanced diet: meaning you have some fibre (vegetables), protein (meat, tofu, beans) and carbs (sweet potato, corn) in EVERY MEAL!!
- DO still eat 'unhealthy' food because diets need to be sustaintable! Just eat the right portion 😉️️ (e.g. you can try to make a rule for yourself: x portions of snacks per day, then you can have chocolate today and ice cream tomorrow! This is just an eg of my own rule hehe)
- DO maintain a diet that you think is sustainable! If you can't imagine yourself sustaining this diet for LIFE, it's not the right diet for you.
- DO explore cooking for yourself 😇 you know exactly what ingredients you use!
- DO find out healthier alternatives! E.g. If you want to eat less rice, you can replace with brown rice or other forms of unprocessed carbs (corn)
- DO plate your food nicely because it helps to make the food look more appetising~
- DO try to cut down on drinks! It's the most empty calories with very little benefits in general 🥲
♥️ DONTs:
- DO NOT be overly concerned about calories!! Being obsessed with calories and mentally calculating everything you eat was very stressful 😭
- DO NOT take my fitness pal's recommendations too seriously!! I remember they recommended me to eat about 1200 kcals everyday which was definitely not the most healthy
- DO NOT make sudden changes to your diet! This might last for a few days but you'll tend to fall back to old habits sooner.
These are just some tips that worked for me personally 🥰 not a professional so take my advice with caution!!
