A Shroomy Nonfiction & Horror Pairing 🍄

If you loved Entangled Life, a delightfully interesting nonfiction book about fungi, I have the perfect novel for you! Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia is eerie, atmospheric, and lush. It follows a Mexican heroine as she journeys to her cousin's mysterious manor in the countryside. I don't want to spoil any of the mystery, but this horror is full to the brim with mushroom imagery that adds to the creepy (but not too scary!) vibes of this historical fiction horror story.
