we recently went to japan when the yen was at an all time low. weโve been saving up for this trip for some time now and we had a shopping list of what we wanted to buy back to sg:
๐ cosmetics & haircare:
some brands i love include canmake, kate, excel, cezanne (uv poreless powder is my holy grail โ i stocked up on a few). also snagged some new heroinemake products to try like their mascara remover. and &honeyโs hair oil which has been so nourishing for my permed hair.
๐ snacks:
tip: buy your snacks from daiso, 100 yen stores and their local supermarkets! theyโre way cheaper than touristy stores. however if youโre looking for specific snacks like tokyo cheese, langue de chat, castella cakes and more โ you can buy them at the JR stations or duty free stores at the airport for tax free โจ get your unique japanese kitkat (we got hokkaido azuki strawberry & uji hojicha) & pure jellies ๐ฅฐ
๐ character merch:
my family went crazy buying character merch โ from studio ghibli, to sanrio characters, sumikkogurashi, snoopy and more! my childhood favourite is miffy and i went bought enough to build a miffy museum โ more on my miffy haul in my next post!

we fell in love with japanese pottery at such affordable prices we wished we brought back more hehe. another favourite store we loved is 3coins for aesthetic lifestyle goods. shupatto bags are pretty affordable in japan too so we got them as souvenirs!
๐ must visit stores:
uniqlo, gu (uniqloโs sister brand), onitsuka tiger, new balance (or ABC mart)
