TATTOO REGRET?

“those are pretty permanent!” “wow, that is a lot of tattoos!” “i could never do that”

⬆️⬆️⬆️ a few of the things i hear on a weekly basis in regards to my tattoos!

So let’s get vulnerable today - do I regret any of my tattoos? Or all of them?

Well, the answer is: it’s complicated but mostly NO!

I started getting tattoos when I was 21 and out of college. My parents told me that I could not get any more they were paying for school and I decided to respect that rule.

Overtime, I ended up with almost 2 full sleeves, a back piece, and my legs started!

I struggled with body image and self harm as a teen. I love that now I can put art on the thing I hated so much, and I love it more than ever.

I have been able to invest in so many incredible female artists to put their art on my skin! And to be honest, there is something so therapeutic about getting a new tattoo.

My only regret is that I could’ve planned things out differently so I could have more, cool pieces! I guess I also regret that tattoos can be great conversation starters because I really don’t like to talk to strangers in public about my tattoos and what or if they mean anything!

That all said, I highly encourage anyone who is interested in being tattooed to think about it long and hard. They are very permanent, even if laser removal is an option! I would ask that anybody who wants my advice about being tattooed, to be in their career for a few years and established before adding any ink!
