Holy cow this month FLEW BY.

Not gonna lie y’all, I was in a weird place mentally. I ended up not posting a ton because of it and just spending more than a few days in bed in my head and with my face buried in books. Though I arguably didn’t read as many as I did in August, I did read some pretty thick books last month! I feel like most of them were 500+ pages! And I really hit my romantasy era this month!

Without further ado, here are all the books I read in September of this year!

🩶Glint by Raven Kennedy

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: I finally met the MMC (I think) this series, has started off kinda slow for me, but I think has picked up. I think I’m starting to get an idea of what’s going on. But I might need more context to like it more.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: Okay, now it’s starting to hook me a little bit more, we’ve really gone on a journey with Auren here. Holy cow. And now there’s spice!!! Woot woot!!!

💜Daydream by Hannah Grace

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️.5

Review: This has been my least favorite of all the Maple Hills so far and might be enough for me to DNF the series if there are any more. I feel like the characters are starting to become unrealistic. Henry was a cutie pie in the first two books but in this book he lost every ounce of the spark that made him, HIM. And Halle, she was super annoying to me. I just couldn’t get behind this couple. I think they’d break up after this book was done.

💛Glow by Raven Kennedy

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: This one was my favorite so far! There was a lot of character development for Auren which I think was desperately needed and she’s really coming into her own. I think Slade is too and I love that. I’m still wondering what the point of Malina is but I’m sure we’ll get there.

💙Nightbane by Alex Aster

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Review: The end of LightLark made me so sad and I was so stoked to get this book. I was first in the queue at the library for FOREVER. To whoever sat on their buts renewing it over and over again that was not nice. I read it pretty quickly and appreciated Grim and Isla’s slow burn. I’m interested to see what happens in the next one when it comes out in November!

❤️A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: I went into this pretty blind (how with it being all over BookTok, I’m not sure, but I managed to), and I think I’m gonna do a whole ACOTAR post but this one was odd. It felt pretty predictable, but I am curious to know how to rest of the series goes.

💚A Court of Mist & Fury by Sarah J Maas

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: I liked this one so much more than the first one. I thought the first one was interesting don’t get me wrong. But this one was great! I don’t fully get why people say Rhys is morally grey. He’s not at all by my standards but he is a sweetie pie.

🩷A Court of Wings & Ruin by Sarah J Maas

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Review: More of Tamlin being so dumb and Rhys being a sweetie pie. Though I wish he was more of a true Shadow Daddy. I still liked it. I’m hoping Nesta and Cassian can get their crap together and be in love because I think that would be sweet.

🩵A Court of Frost & Starlight by Sarah J Maas

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: I don’t know why everyone gives this book so much crap. It was cute and really did bridge the gap between the two books. Though Nesta is super annoying. Hopefully she chills in the next book. We’ll see but I doubt it, she seems kinda stubborn.

🧡A Court of Silver Flames

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: This was probably my favorite so far of the ACOTAR series and my goodness has it been the spiciest. Cassian and Nesta are over here getting it on like bunnies and I was not mad about it! I appreciate that this book did set up a few more ACOTAR books because I wasn’t ready for the series to be done so I’ll be happy when the next one comes out!

🤍Gold by Raven Kennedy

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: I struggled with this one. So much so that I stopped halfway through to read ACOTAR because I was having a really hard time with Slade and Auren being apart for the whole book it just made me so sad and Os and Rosa’s whole Instalove thing was kinda weird to me but I did like Malina and Dommik’s arc that was cute.

💛Goldfinch by Raven Kennedy

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Review: Not gonna lie, I’m kinda bummed this series is done. Though I feel like Ryatt deserved to have his story wrapped up a little better. I mean for him to have no ending really and then be like “peace out!” What was that???? Slade might be one of my favorite book boyfriends up there with Xaden. I’m a sucker for a truly morally grey MMC. Kill EVERYONE. I love it!
