Many blogshops have been popping up around Singapore in the last few years, and I always get super excited when they have sales or new lines launching.

Blogshops in Singapore often have clothing designs that are both aesthetic and functional, i.e. having pockets in dresses, hidden zips, padded tops etc. Whatโ€™s more: their prices are relatively cheap, usually cheaper than or on par with international brands like Cotton On, Zara, Pull & Bear etc.

SOโ€ฆ why donโ€™t I buy from them? ๐Ÿค” โ“

For all the impressive features that blogshop clothes have, I find that these clothes are only suitable for a very specific body type.

As someone with a larger bust, the smallest size I can fit into for blogshops is a size L for most tops and dresses. However, this usually means that they donโ€™t fit properly elsewhere, whether itโ€™s around my shoulders, waist or in terms of the length. And this is a trend Iโ€™ve noticed across ALL the blogshop brands in Singapore :-(

Therefore, Iโ€™ve mostly been turning to fast fashion chains like H&M, Shein and Shopee stores (like Eyouth!). While I do thrift from time to time, I find that it takes up a lot of time (traveling to the shop and back, sifting through RACKS of clothing) and itโ€™s usually a hit or miss as most thrift shops donโ€™t have facilities for you to try on the pieces (also .. hygiene ..)
