This post really blew up which is weird because i should have two nickels as this is the second post i made about my belly ring which got popular. I wanted to clarify a few things as im getting some misinformed advice and overall questions.

So biggest one, im wearing a floating navel bar, this is an alternative jewelry style for a navel piercing, if you scroll down my page you will see my other (popular) post titled “why i ditched curved navel bar”. This style is actually gaining popularity with piercers for fresh piercings because they dont cause as much irritation.

So the reason for the irritation with mine, my piercing is not the problem just the jewelry top. So another reason why i decided the floating navel bar is ideally any threaded top can fit into this post, just this one did not work out because i did not account for the moving/bending/sitting and rubbing that happens and how that would translate to a threaded end that has the pointy edges. So the top was poking and irritating my skin NOT my piercing hole.

Some people thought my piercing was also rejecting. My navel is 3 years old and completely healed.

Piercings and jewelry is honestly one of my hyper focus interests. I really wanted to make this post to basically be like “i did a big dumb”. And that not everything you buy will always have a happy side to it. Because life isnt always perfect. But thats what makes it fun and learned experiences. I wanted to share so if anyone else happens to be into the same alt navel styles they dont make my mistakes lol. So i hope this sums up any questions!
