We hardly eat pizza from take out anymore, my husband found this amazing dough recipe and I make it a few times a week! It’s so good! And I love it for pizza crust and Stromboli shells.
• 1 cup warm water
• 1 tsp sugar
• 2 and 1/4 tsp active yeast
Combine and let sit until bubbles form.
Add remaining ingredients and mix until soft nontacky dough forms.
• 2 cups all purpose flour
• 2 tsp salt
• garlic, onion and basil. Measure by your heart.
• cooking oil of choice - I use EVOO. Start with 2 TBSP, but keep extra in case you need some more.
Oil a bowl and place dough patty in, cover with a towel and wait for 45 mins for dough to rise. Then punch patty down, let rise another five minutes and stretch and top with your favorite sauce, cheese and veggies or meat.
Preheat your oven to 400*
Bake for 18 minutes (with just cheese). Adjust time for extra toppings.
