As a family of 2, we find ourselves struggling to finish ingredients whenever we cook. That’s why I’ve been on the hunt for easy 1 pan recipes with minimal ingredients to prevent food wastage.
Just found a new easy recipe that is going to be on repeat for lazy weeknight dinners/WFH lunches! It’s really so quick and easy that I can’t bring myself to pay $7-10 for this outside anymore 😅
Recipe:
Cook 1 cup of rice
Fry sunny side up, set aside
Fry chopped garlic (I used 2 heaping tsp of minced garlic) and 1 chopped chilli padi till fragrant
Add in pork (I used 1 pack of 300g Australian pork from NTUC) and cook till colour changes
Add 1 tbsp fish sauce, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1/2 tbsp sugar. Mix to combine and cook till everything is cooked.
Add in Thai basil, turn off fire and cook with residual heat till wilted.
Cooked this for some friends recently and they loved it! The basil was soooo fragrant, more aromatic than the ones I buy outside 😜
