My Loc Journey 🌸🫶🏾

I started my loc journey in July 2022, with two strand twists. Now, everyone says it could be due to genetics but, my hair is naturally thin and fine. Starting my locs were the best thing I could do to my hair. My hair is thicker and longer than it’s ever been in my life.

*I am not a licensed loctician*

This is what works for me💕

1. I don’t get retwists often..maybe ever 2-3 months

2. I oil my scalp daily with homemade hair oil (I suggest making a personal hair oil that benefits your hair) ex. I have dry scalp so I use tea tree oil or jojoba oil in mine. (Research, research, research!!!)

3. I use a leave in conditioner spray (I’ll post the brand if you guys want but, it’s a honeydew leave in conditioner or mist🤷🏽‍♀️)

4. I wrap my hair every night and/or if I’m laying down with a durag and bonnet.

5. Remember that everyone’s journey is different and don’t compare yours to others.

P.S. If you’re thinking of starting your loc journey, get all your hairstyles out of the way 😂..I regret not getting a sew in for the first time.

I still can put on wigs tho 😉
