What is the Pitcher Method ?

The pitcher method is done over a period of 1-4 days

and can be done in different ways

✨EXCLUSIVELY BREASTFEEDING -if you are exclusively breastfeeding which means no pumping , You can use a milk collector or a Hakka on the opposite breast to collect your letdown which is the milk that leaks

✨BREASTFEEDING + PUMPING - I personally do both I would feed baby and pump right after every feed

✨EXCLUSIVELY PUMPING- Solely pumping and not latching baby

After you collect the milk from the first nursing or pumping session you put it into a pitcher or mason jar or really any container that can be used to store milk and place it in the fridge throughout the day continue to collect the milk in separate bottles once milk is the same temperature you can mix into the pitcher,The CDC does not recommended to mix different temperature milk due to concern of bacteria buildup
