This back to school lunch series is inspired by my teenager. She takes a lunch box to school as a Junior in High School and I love it! I would rather pack her lunch knowing she has things to eat that she likes rather than her going to school & being hungry all day.
๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐จ Breakfast on the Go - We are not morning people so any extra sleep we can get we will & grab breakfast later.
๐๐ซ Fairlife Chocolate milk is the best! The protein helps you feel full & the taste is really good just like chocolate milk!
๐ Fruit, Yogurt & Muffins are basic but get the job done.
๐ช๐ป Protein bars are good, love to pair with fruit!
โ๏ธ Protein Coffee is the best of both worlds. My daughter can skip Starbucks & still feel full.
๐ฅ Lunch is going to vary depending on the school. If your child has access to a microwave to heat up lunch that really opens doors! Some premade options are canned pasta, Mac & cheese cups, hot pockets or leftovers! If they donโt have a microwave option try salads, sandwiches or wraps. These are easy to prepare at home and prep for the week or pickup at the grocery store.
๐ Most kids have an after school activity! Sports, Work, volunteering or study groups - I love packing a snack that is quick & easy to eat plus a little protein to hold them over until dinner time. Some of these can be made at home too! Make your own PB Cracks, Pre portion cheese cubes, nuts & lunchmeat, have a recipe for a protein bar? make that! The Zone Perfect chocolate chip cookie dough bar is elite! If you like eating raw cookie dough, try this!
๐ฟSnacks- Good to have with lunch or something extra just in case. Take a giant bag of popcorn & preportion into grab and go bags at home, boil & peel eggs on Sunday to have for the whole week.
๐งMy daughter carries her Stanley cup with her but sometimes you need something extra! Water mixes to add flavor, Olipop & Izzy are nice if you are trying to cut back on soda but love the fizz, Sunny D is always a hit, Premade Starbucks drinks save you time & money and everything isnโt for everyone but mini energy drinks are ok in moderation for our family.
๐Just a few lunchboxes & accessories to pack all of your snacks in! Most of the bags & cups were found on Amazon/Target. And doesnโt hurt to have some hand sanitizer in your lunch bag as well! ๐ซง
