STOP feeling guilty about this!

I am doing a small study on temptation and I felt God wanted me to share this.

⭐️⭐️Understand that when you have THOUGHTS about temptations it is NOT a sin. ⭐️⭐️

Even JESUS was tempted several times. And as the only human to never sin He did not give in.

⭐️⭐️ it’s not UNTIL we act on those thoughts in a sinful way that makes it sin. ⭐️⭐️

⛔️⛔️EXAMPLE⛔️⛔️

Say I’m walking though the mall window shopping but I’m on a budget and I can’t afford these new shoes that I just LOVE!

a though comes in my mind to steal the shoes. They don’t even look like they have cameras. And my purse is big enough to fit them.

His thought is NOT SIN. this is a temptation to steal but it is not a sin.

If I go through with the thought and steal the shoes. Then it’s a sin.

HOWEVER, If I change my thinking to, I get paid next week and I’ll come back and by them then. And you walk away and continue with your day. You did not act on that temptation. Meaning you DID NOT sin.

I want to take away the SHAME AND GUILT that the enemy puts on us just from having a thought (that HE most likely gave us- just like Jesus in the wilderness) making us think we’re awful and sinful. This just isn’t the case. It’s in the Bible and Jesus even shows us how to combate this.

So release yourself from this guilt and shame today!
