Hello everyone! It’s me Ashantha and today I am going to share with you what are the do’s and Don’ts if you have acne prone skin. I have dry acne prone skin and this is based on my own knowledge and experience. It helps me a lot so make sure to stay with me!❤️

First, make sure to avoid picking or popping your pimples! It's tempting, but popping or squeezing a pimple won't necessarily get rid of the problem. Squeezing can push bacteria and pus deeper into the skin, which might cause more swelling and redness. Squeezing also can lead to scabs and might leave you with permanent pits or scars. ✨So if you have acne, use a pimple patch instead. Pimple patches work by absorbing any drainage from the pimple and covering the wound to prevent further trauma to the site

Next, avoid using a physical exfoliator or scrub because it’s a bit harsh for your skin and can trigger more acne. If you have acne prone skin, I would suggest using a chemical exfoliator instead. Make sure to exfoliate once a week. If it triggers more, it’s time for you to seek a dermatologist.✨

Lastly, avoid using products with a high percentage of niacinamide. Don't get me wrong, I love niacinamide but a higher percentage of it can actually trigger more acne. I would suggest using a lower percentage starting from 1%-5%. Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly minimize enlarged pores, tighten lax or stretched out pores, improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface.✨

That’s all for today! I hope you learn something today and if you find this helpful, make sure to save and like this post. Hope this helps, bye!😘❤️
