I contemplated sharing my story and, genuinely, it's because I don't want pity or to be seen as someone trying to garner extra attention (which, I mean, isn't the greatest form of attention anyway). But I fear society might view it that way. However, I have chosen to share this because I KNOW there are girls, women, and others out there who have experienced what I went through, and I want this to be a light for them.

While this post is titled "After Her Light Was Stolen," I want this message to be clear; I GOT MY LIGHT BACK. The trauma isn't our fault, but the healing is on us. When you face yourself and your pain, you’ll face the inevitable truth of who you are. Because trauma does not define you. Allow yourself to take the harder road, the road of healing.

I'd like to add that this is a safe space for anyone who relates to my post—my DMs are open, my comments are open. And please, just remember, there is light at the end of the tunnel. ♥️
