My baby is everything I didn’t know I needed. 🤎

If things had gone according to my plans I would have started my dog grooming business, bought a house, gotten married and THEN thought about having a baby.

Truthfully, having my son is better than all of those plans anyway. If I could go back & do it all over again, I’d do everything exactly the same. He’s the best thing to ever happen to me.

Even though I was immediately excited to be a mom — I was so very scared. I had taken so many childhood development & early education classes (plus I am the oldest of 11) that I thought I’d feel pretty well equipped but I was still so anxious. Questioning how I’d do it. Wondering what life had in store. Worried about finances.

The advice I gave in the slides would be the advice I would have loved to hear when I found out I was pregnant. Maybe it would have eased my anxiety a bit more.

The quote on the last slide says it all — if you’re unexpectedly pregnant, maybe you’re exactly where you’re meant to be even if it’s not where you had planned to be. 🤎🤎🤎

For me, I know I have found my true meaning to life through being a mother. It’s the greatest thing I’ll ever be and I will always push myself to be great at it. Especially because things didn’t go according to plan. 😌

- keep in touch and hang out regularly

- go shopping for baby gear together

- listen to their concerns & worries

- ask about drs appointments

- try to encourage wellness

- offer to plan a shower

- offer your help
