don’t buy these

The baby industry is one of the biggest money industries. A lot because babies are expensive but a lot is also because they can trick parents into thinking they need things they do not need. if you think back to our roots, women have been doing this with little to nothing. these are the items that I swore I needed but I genuinely hardly touch them. some of these items may shock you, now let me explain why…

Baby Shoes: baby shoes are so damn cute, especially little versions of the shoes we wear. but I’ll tell you 3 reasons why they are pointless;

1. they are hard to put on

2. they will fit them for only a second

3. babies are actually born with thousands of nerve endings in their feet. sensory experiences that they feel with their feet will actually send connections to their brain which is important for their development.

Baby Towels: baby towels are TINY & they are only nice when your baby is TINY… which lasts about a week btw 😂 just use normal sized towels or even kids towels. just keep that baby warm after the bath!

Nursing Pillow: some women love them but I personally feel like it got in the way more than helped. I use a rolled up blanket or a normal pillow when I’m not side lying to breast feed.

Mamaroo: These swings are so aesthetically pleasing… 9/10 babies hate them. I actually began asking other moms and they pretty much all agreed these swings are worthless. Don’t believe me? go check how many are being sold on FB marketplace for $40 captioned “barely used” when they’re over $200. 😂

Crib: okay this one shocked me because when I was pregnant I heard it all the time but I didn’t believe it. usually becomes a storage spot until you’re ready to transition baby into them. I co sleep but others just set up a pack & play next to their beds.

Johnson’s products: The baby smell staples… these products mostly have very harmful ingredients. Use better alternatives.

Wipe Warmer: I get the thought but it’s just not needed. Diaper changes already suck just get it over with quick.

Baby Laundry Detergent: this specific brand (draft) isn’t the best ingredient wise. Just use your same laundry detergent, I recommend the brand ECOS

Nursing Cover: if you’d like to cover up in public just use a blanket but also just remember you don’t HAVE to cover up. you’re feeding your baby and nothings wrong with that ❤️
