Modern Window Treatment

When we first moved into our 725 sq ft one-bedroom apartment, the ordinary blinds on our windows just didn't do our space justice. That's when I decided to invest in window treatments that would not only bring warmth but also function.

I found the right solution on Amazon: four panels of linen-style blackout curtains for $46.95 a pair. These drapes not only block out unwelcomed light but also provide insulation, keeping our unit pleasant all year. While I'm not normally a fan of grommet-style curtains, the price and quality won me over.

To complete the overall look, I added a modern rod from West Elm with a hint of brass and a carbon wood finish. They almost reach the height of our ceilings at 108 inches in length, lending a feeling of grandeur to our living room.

Now, I adore our windows, which have become a major point in our home. It's amazing how a small alteration can have such a tremendous impact!
