🦋// bluesky is a good alternative to twitter/x. not only do you get to see photos of peoples pets, you also dont have to deal with elon musk. newer app but i personally consider it my favorite alternative to twitter. most people on the app appear to mainly be millennials or older, and also left leaning. block/mute actually works, so if you want to truly avoid the twitter experience then you can block any remaining right wingers you come across. you also can now post gifs and videos too. i think i may currently be 1 of 4 gen z users on the app.

💾 // tumblr is tumblr. still using it though. contrary to popular belief, this app still has a pretty solid amount of users. can be toxic but its a different genre of toxic compared to twitter. unless youre getting into fandom discourse or queer discourse on the regular then youll have a generally peaceful experience reblogging memes. the block/mute tags function is recommended if you want to avoid an 18+ experience. you can set your blog to private if you want to blog and lurk in peace. if you have a laptop or computer then you can customize your blog more.
