I plucked only one tooth during this surgery and it was my first time to have my wisdom tooth plucked.
The whole process of removing my wisdom tooth was as follows:
1) The dentist checked with me if I am sure I want to remove the tooth. Once I confirmed that I am sure, the dentist went through with me the possible complications and the probability as well as how am I going to finance this surgery.
2) The dentist will apply anaesthesia (which is a little painful IMO) and I waited for a while for the anaesthesia to take effect.
3) After a while, the dentist checked on me, poking certain areas and asked if I was comfortable, basically I was supposed to feel something but it should not be pain - making sure that the anaesthesia take effect.
4) The dentist proceed to pluck my tooth (not too sure how as I am not able to see it) but after about 30 mins, the tooth was plucked. (There was no pain at this stage)
5) The dentist asked me to do an x ray to make sure that all of the tooth was plucked out.
6) After doing the x ray, the dentist saw that there was a small fragment of the tooth left (refer to pic 2) and he proceeded to find that fragment before he stitched me up.
7) Lastly, I had to make an appointment in a week time to remove my stitches.
The total cost for the surgery was SGD 1356.12 but I used SGD 1250 from my Medisave and paid the remaining in cash.
I was given an 8 days post hospitalisation leave after this surgery.
