i used to hate the saying

“i let myself go” when referring to my body and it’s changes

but i changed my perspective

and now i see it like

i let myself go on vacation with friends without worrying about the way my body looked

i let myself go to dinner with my family and have dessert without feeling guilty

i let myself go to the gym just to move my body rather than to try to shrink it

i let myself go through changes without hating myself for it

so yes

i let myself go live my life

and it’s the best thing i could’ve done for myself
