Of course we all have pairs of heels. But as fun as it look, there are few things to consider if you want your feet to stay comfortable and healthy. Here , let me share some of it :
# Use bandage
If you’re already suffering from a blister, use a bandage or moleskin to protect it. There are tons of bandages with different sizes and shapes so choose which is suitable for you. Likewise, if you have a “problem area” , nip it in the bud and place a bandage on it.
# Apply petroleum jelly / vaseline
This is the best method to soften the back of the heels, especially on stilettos. Rub a right amount of Vaseline or any petroleum jelly at the back part of your shoe a few days before wearing them. I tried this one before and it totally works!
# Wear Heel cushion
Using heel cushion or insoles if your feet are sliding forward in your shoes, which causes the shoe rubbing against your heel as you walk. Depending on the narrowness or thickness of your foot versus average shoe widths though.
# Get the right size, style and height
Get a shoe that fits well so your heel isn’t slipping and your toes are not rubbing against the front. Take it slow and only go on short walks with a new pair of shoes. Stick to heel sizes under 3 inch, if possible.
