when u’re w someone who gives generously, sometimes it’s easy to take them for granted…🥲 i decided to post abt this to express my gratitude for the effort & thought that goes into the gifts i receive from my boyfriend! bc there’s a story behind each

Lock&Lock mug 🍵

I teach tuition from 8.45am-4.45pm on Saturdays, & alw get an iced coffee/latte to keep me energised throughout the day. I adopted (stole) my dad’s Sbux coffee thermos so I cld keep my drinks cold, and seeing this, my bf decided to get me my own! in one of my fav colours too 🥹❣️

Paintings 🖼️

He got invited to the Van Gogh exhibition bc he works in media. During these events, he’s alw on the lookout for things I might like; knowing we appreciate art, he got 2 posters, one for me & one for my dad to hang in his study!

Chocolates 🍫

I am the biggest fan of anyt white choc, paired w a fruit or nut 🤧 he usually gets me choc frm Laderach, but came across this strawb choc while eating dinner w his colleagues at Little Farms. Once again….testimony to the fact that he’s constantly thinking of things I’d like. Not pictured is also a choc bar he got for my vegan dad 🍃

Jap food 🍱

LOL this one a bit funny……he had a work lunch at Burger & Lobster on the same day I had a busy work day AND a midterm at night so I was whining abt how lucky he was & man was like yknow what here’s a chirashi don so at least u can say u ate well today

Nails 💅

Towards recess week I was feeling kinda bad abt myself — all the work & studying led to me not being able to engage in much self-care, like eating properly, gg for brow threading & haircuts etc. My nails were also damn musty & breaking apart…4 of them were broken frm typing too hard HAHA so he got me a nail apt 🥲

I’m so v grateful to be w someone who doesn’t just give, but gives with thought & care, pre-empting my needs and carefully considering my preferences. Soon I’ll do a post abt some of the things I do to make him feel equally treasured, be it giving gifts, or cooking, or planning things. Really it’s all about balance, & I’m happy we’ve struck one. 🤎
