is this HIGHLY RAVED restaurant WORTH THE HYPE??

headed down this sichuan restaurant specialising in food like 烤鱼 and 小龙虾! You would have seen this restaurant being recommended on Lemon8 and here is my honest review as someone who LOVES 四川 a lot✨ (ps. thankyou to the restaurant for inviting me down!)

I went down on a weekday for lunch, so it wasn’t crowded at all and the dishes arrived really quickly! I was able to try the ✨crayfish + grilled fish + sichuan food buffet✨ ($78.80) and here are my thoughts!

🐟Grilled Fish 烤鱼 - 酸菜， 麻辣

I tried 2 different flavours because with half-fish portion each after asking the waiter which flavour he recommended! The FISH in general, was very sweet,juicy and tender! I was actually really surprised because the fish was still cooking as we eat and I thought it would become tougher👍🏻

Between the 2 flavours, I definitely will recommend the 酸菜 flavour because the sauce was SO FLAVOURFUL👍🏻 wasn’t too salty but just enough that we drank the soup/sauce up🥹

The 麻辣 imo was okay, was not spicy or 麻 (ps. my spicy tolerant is a little high), and instead was more of a salty flavour instead! (ps there is AN ARRAY of flavours for you to choose from!)

🦞小龙虾 - 麻辣

We were able to choose between 2 flavours and we got the mala! (the other flavour was garlic) The sauce was more spicy and you could get the numbing and spicy taste! the meat was also really tender and slightly chewy- giving it some texture ! One of my fav fish✨

🐓辣子鸡

imo this was p decent, the meat pieces was in chunks, it was crispy but isn’t very very spicy! I love to eat really spicy food so I was a little disappointed☹️BUT if you are someone who can’t tolerate spicy but stil wanna try, this is for you!

🍻 signature fruit tea ($8.80)

I couldn’t really remember the price of both drinks but they are around this price😅

BUT, you NEED to try the signature fruit tea!!! Never a fan of fruit tea but this was SO REFRESHING & really good to clear your throat after having all the dishes! Also comes in a HUGE CUP (I mean look at my hand for size ref😭😭) enjoyed this drink✨

Overall, I love the ambiance, especially if you sat outside with such a gorgeous view! Great for a #datenight with your partner💗 for those who can’t tolerate much spice, the restaurant also has non-spicy food / not so spicy food (as mentioned above) so THIS IS YOUR TIME TO TRY 四川 dishes!
