$5.50 breakfast set? your sign to have bf at IKEA✨

recently, my family and I was around the area, and decided to pop by 💗Ikea @ alexendra to grab a quick breakfast! It was our first time at IKEA for breakfast so we didn’t know what to expect

If you are there in the morning, 10-11am++ there ain’t many people (compared to lunch/dinner crowd) with ample seats! Also saw some people having their meeting/studying there #StudySpots as it was relatively quiet!

We ordered a lot of 6 items & we left feeling FULL! here’s my thoughts on them!

1) 🌭Big Breakfast Set ($5.50)🌭

I didn’t expect it to be THIS BIG, with 2 croissants, 2 harshbrown, 1 sausage, tomatoes and baked beans! This Lowkey reminds me of hotel breakfast! For $5.50 it’s very worth the money + the sausage WAS SO GOOD😭 The harshbrown reminds me of frozen harshbrown and the croissant were slightly on the chewy side but it was pretty decent considering the price! #affordable

2) 🐟salmon croissant ($2.90 each) 🐟

I have never tried a salmon croissant before so this was something new! With noticeable salmon flakes inside, I could taste the salmon as I’m chewing BUT the croissant is slightly hard (?), not the typical soft buttery croissant you would expect - tbh reminds me of a baguette

3) 🧆9 piece Meatball ($6.90)🧆

also wasn’t sure if they were selling their all time crowd favourite meatball…but there they were

The classic favourite…just pure delicious and I have nothing to say, just SO GOOD!

4)🍲Local Favourites - mee soto ($2.80)🍲

this taste like something you would get from a school canteen…nothing bad but nothing good either. Wouldn’t get this again🥲but their soup with the chilli makes it taste better🥹

5) Lo Mai Kai ($2)

I’m not a big fan of lo mai kai in general but this is worth buying. The rice was soft and flavourful with big chunks of meat pieces inside!

The total was ✨$23✨ for all 6 the dishes + 2 free tea/coffee! (I think 1 was from the local dish and another from the ikea card, I might be wrong😅)

All in all, I highly recommend the salmon croissants (if you prefer hard croissants), the lo mai kai, meatball and big breakfast set!

It’s a great place to have breakfast if you are nearby and have some errands to run around this area!
