Have two bananas that are getting over ripe? Here’s my go to banana bread recipe to solve just that issue!

Ingredients 🍌

- 220 g all purpose flour

- 8 g baking powder

- 1/4 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 75 g unsalted butter

- 65 g granulated sugar

- 65 g brown sugar

- 2 large eggs

- 227 ml of mashed bananas (2 bananas)

- 1/4 tsp toasted sesame seed oil

- Vanilla extract

- Cinnamon

- Chocolate chips

Steps 🍞

- Preheat the oven to 350 F. Butter and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

- Brown the butter over the stove. Pour into a large bowl and set aside to cool for at least 10 minutes.

- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

- Mix the sugars with the butter. Add the mashed bananas and eggs.

- Fold in the dry ingredients.

- Add a splash of vanilla, cinnamon, and the sesame seed oil.

- Fold in as much chocolate chips as you want!

- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

- Sprinkle more chocolate chips on top.

- Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out almost clean.

- Cool in the pan for 1 hour before cutting!

Tips ✨

- When your bananas start to over ripe, freeze them! Defrost the night before you are ready to make bread in the fridge.

- Toasted sesame seed oil brings out the flavor of the vanilla more.

- You don’t want the toothpick to be completely clean, or else the bread will be too dry. Having a few crumbs of it means the perfect moistness!
