Hello there,

2023 is ending, and onward to 2024!

Let’s break the vicious cycles and reset the bad habits that are holding you back from achieving your goals and living a healthier, happier life.🕊️

✨ Here are 7 things to stop doing in 2024 (or right now)

❌Stop scrolling on your phone aimlessly.

Have you checked how much your daily screen time is?

I was shocked to see that I spend at least 6 hours on my phone daily. 😵That adds up to 42 hours a week. That is like almost two days 😱

Instead of letting your phone distract you, try to use it more intentionally and productively. You can set limits on your screen time, turn off notifications, or delete apps that are not useful or enjoyable.

By doing this, you will free up more time and attention for the things that really matter to you, such as your goals, hobbies, relationships, and health.

❌Stop spending too much time on social media.

Social media can be a useful tool for staying connected with friends and family, but it can also be a source of distraction, stress, and comparison.

It is so easy to compare our low lights with everyone else’s highlights.

Set a time limit for your social media use, and turn off notifications when you need to concentrate on something else.

❌Stop procrastinating.

We all have moments of procrastination. Do the hardest task first, and everything else will get easier.

By tackling the task that I dread the most first, it has helped me to get through the day with more ease.

Also, break the task into bite-size pieces, and it will be so much more achievable!

❌Stop saying yes to everything.

Saying yes to something means that you are saying no to something else.

Don’t overwhelm and exhaust yourself by taking on more than you can handle or doing things that you don't want to do. It can also make you lose sight of your own goals and values by pleasing others at the expense of yourself.

Learn to say no when something doesn't align with your priorities or interests or when you need some time for yourself.

❌Stop eating too much junk food.

I love snacking!! But it is really bad for health and pocket too. Upon checking my Dec bills, I realised that I spent almost 50% of my grocery expenses on unhealthy snacks. 🥲

This is something I would like to improve in 2024.

Junk food is high in calories, fat, sugar, and salt, but low in vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Although junk foods are happy foods, eating in moderation will allow the joy to be more sustainable.

❌Stop sleeping too little or too much.

Beauty sleep is real! 😴

Sleep is so essential for your physical and mental health, as it helps your body repair itself, regulate your hormones, and consolidate your memory. The quality of sleep matters too; start preparing for sleep 30 minutes before bed.

Try listening to calming music, put on a sheet mask or read a book. It will help to prepare the body for a restful night.

❌Stop avoiding exercise.

Exercise is one of the best habits for your health, skin, and well-being. The first step is always the hardest; you don’t have to go to the gym every day.

Pick an exercise that you enjoy and do it regularly. For me, it's yoga and swimming! I have never regretted going for a workout, but rather I felt guilty for avoiding it.

👏🏼 Start today, even if it is just one squat!

✨What are some bad habits you would like to reset in 2024? Use this holiday season as a chance to press reset.

🫶🏻 Remember, you are fully capable of building the version of yourself that you would like to be.

📌Don’t forget to save this post and start implementing these ideas into your life today!

With love,

Wern
