SECRET OF HOW MY 2.5 YO KNOW ALL THE LETTER SOUNDS

Introducing our kids to letter sounds can be a bit tricky since we don't want them to lose interest. Setting up fun and engaging activities is always a good approach. However, the first thing we need to do is familiarize ourselves with the correct letter sounds before teaching our own kids.

I did a lot of research and taught my kids letter sounds that I think will be easier for them to use in the future on their reading journey. Flashcards are the easiest method, but they can be boring for toddlers. So, I used flashcards just for review time or when they asked for it. The rest of the time, I engaged them in activities that not only taught them letters but also involved art and crafts, math, etc.
