Food Review: comfort food Madam Kwan’s in KL

When I visited KL, I was strongly recommended by friends to try this restaurant for authentic KL food. They have outlets at Mid Valley Mall, Pavillion, and also Suria KLCC.

They accept reservations and I would strongly recommend that you do so! I arrived at their Mid Valley outlet at 6pm and there was already a waiting time though I did not have to wait for too long.

Food 🥘:

I love the curry chicken nasi lemak - the curry is so fragrant and not overly spicy. Chicken is tender, achar is super~ I don’t usually take char kway tiao because I find them too oily but their version feels just right. Also tried the Ipoh hor fun and satay which are pretty good as well.

Atmosphere 🍽️:

Usual homely restaurant setting. Clean and comfortable. Staff are polite.

Price 💰:

We had 3 mains, an appetiser, and drinks and desserts. Total damage was around rm40 per pax for 4 pax. Very value for money in my opinion.
