You gotta try this delicious sweet savoury snack!

Do you like rice cakes? This is a Japanese inspired rice snack that is both sweet and savoury. You can use leftover rice for this! 🍙

Rice cake recipe:

• Cooked rice that has completely cooled down.

• 3 tbsp sugar

• 4 tbsp light soy sauce

• 4 tbsp mirin

• seaweed

• (optional) sesame seeds

Just like making sushi, mould the rice into balls. Next, flatten the rice balls with your hands. 🙌

Mix the sugar, soy sauce, and mirin together in a bowl.

Pan fry the rice cakes on low heat. Flip over to the cooked side and brush on a layer of sauce. Repeat this process to the other side of the rice cake. Continue frying until it’s slightly crispy.

Garnish with seaweed flakes and sesame seeds.
