ways to make your apartment feel bigger

Apartment living can mean small spaces. We don’t all have a ton of space to work with so sometimes you have to get creative. If you are looking for ways to make your apartment feel bigger, buy these two things:

🪞 Mirrors: round mirrors, floor length mirrors, preferably a large one. Mirrors reflect the room it's in and add depth to the room. Ideally, you place your mirror where it gets light as well. When light hits the mirror, it can reflect off the mirror to make the room feel brighter as well.

🪟 Long curtains: I have three large bay windows in my San Francisco apartment living room. They are quite tall so I added curtain panels to each window. I could have gotten curtains that ended right at the base of the window, but I wanted long panels that almost reached the floor to add height to the room. Your eyes will naturally follow the height of the curtain panels and notice the high ceilings.
