DIY plant pot transformation

Sometimes you buy something and you like most of it but not the color. That is how I felt about this plant pot that I bought from Home Goods (or was it Marshall’s…? Honestly I forget). I LOVED the curves of the pot. The pot also was already a bit textured, with a grainy paint finish. However, I didn’t LOVE the color. It was a fine color but I knew that I wanted a brighter pot to highlight the curves of the beautiful pot more.

I had seen many reels where people used spray paint to change the color of an item as a simple DIY. I thought I’d do the same for my pot and the verdict? I am so happy with it.

All you need is the pot of your choosing, the spray paint, and gloves (for protection). I also recommend a cardboard box to spray paint the pot in, so the paint fumes don’t fly everywhere. Simple as that! The spray paint color I have is Rust-oleum’s Satin Heirloom White color. I did 2 coats of this and that was enough to cover the old teal color. I am excited to move a plant into this new pot!
