indoor plant inspo 🪴

I am a proud plant mom. All of my plants are many years old (excluding the ones that are propagated babies from existing plants). I have not bought a new plant in years because my plants have grown so much that they have provided many, many new plants for me. If you are just starting out with plants, or want to know which plants are great for your home, here are two that I love:

🌱 Monstera: you’ve seen this or probably heard of this plant. A native plant to tropical environments, it can also thrive indoors! Monsteras are pretty easy to care for - just make sure it has light and water it when the soil feels dry. It can produce many different leaves with different holes. I have propagated many leaves from my main monstera mother plant, and it has produced many smaller monstera plants for me. Many that I’ve gifted to friends or even sold on FB Marketplace!

🌱 ZZ plant: this is the absolute first house plant that I bought myself, 7 years ago. I actually bought this plant from Ikea originally! I was new to houseplants and I had no idea how to care for this one. Luckily, the ZZ plant is extremely easy to care for. They are resilient and are very low maintenance. I water mine once every 2-3 weeks. It has grown very tall from when I first got it. If you are new to house plants, I highly recommend the ZZ plant!
