1. I saw so much more promising results when I simultaneously increased my protein AND carb intake. Learn what your body needs and adjust your diet accordingly!
2. I take my time to go through my sets instead of hurrying to check off everything on my list for that day’s workout. I slow things down, and if I haven’t done everything I want to by the time I need to leave, no big deal—I’ll pick up where I left off the next upper body day. I have better form with my reps when I slow down, and my sets feel much more impactful the slower I go.
3. I may not make it into the gym every day (mom life), but I have set days of the week that have gym time scheduled in. Instead of putting pressure on myself to hit the gym X number of times each week, I have a gym schedule that is both reasonable for my life and respectful of my greatest priorities (being a SAHM, wife, homemaker, etc.).
